Dorothea C. (Chiszar) Waite

Dorothea C. Waite, 84 of Newfield, NY passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at home.

Born January 11, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Jane Chiszar. Dorothea retired from Bell Telephone in Syracuse, NY and had also been employed with HSBC Bank and Cornell Orchards. She was a very avid reader, reading several books a week.

Dorothea is survived by her husband, Dale Waite of Newfield, NY; brothers, Larry Chiszar of Cortland, NY, Douglas Chiszar of St. Petersburg, FL and Jerry Chiszar of Newfield, NY; step-son, Dale C. Waite of Lansing, NY; step-daughter, Wendy Hoover of Candor, NY; nephew, Steven Babcock of Newfield, NY and niece, Lucinda Chiszar of Modesto, CA. In addition to her parents, Dorothea was predeceased by brothers, Donald Chiszar and Rudy Hoyt; and sisters, Theresa Babcock, and Darlene Chiszar.

There are no formal services planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
