DOROTHY MAY MURDOCK,
age 74, of 12 Yates Ave., Freeville, NY died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Murdock was born in Olean, NY on October 9, 1930 a daughter of the late Abraham and Charlotte Brace Moore. She was married to LaVern Murdock, Jr. at Etna, NY on September 10, 1960. Years ago she was employed at Ithaca Laundry and Cornell Laundry and later at Draper Egg Products. She enjoyed knitting and needle point work. Dorothy was a good wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, LaVern Murdock of Freeville and two daughters, Marilyn M. (Raymond) Krebs of Lansing and Cathy M. Murdock of Freeville; two grandsons, Troy and Billy Krebs of Lansing; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Austin of the United Methodist Church of Freeville officiating. Burial will be private at Willow Glen Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
