DOROTHY E. NEFF,
age 71, of 932 Daisy Hollow Road, Dryden, NY (Town of Harford) passed away peacefully Friday, June 13th, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Neff was born January 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Samuel and Isabelle Ayers Hilsinger. "Dottie" was married to Bert E. Neff in Cortland, NY on December 31, 1953. She enjoyed bird watching, camping and lobster dinners.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Bert, at home, her children, Deborah Morrison of Cortland, Bert E. (Yvonne) Neff, III of Beaver Falls, PA, Karen Neff of Cortland, Pamela Neff and Peggy Ann Grimaldi, of Harford; nine grandchildren; her siblings, Myrtle Clark of New Port News, VA, Permelia (Reginald) Hathaway of Dryden, Marjorie (Jerome) Tifft of Marathon ; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Bert E. Neff, Jr. and Bret E. Neff; her siblings, George, Hubert, Howard and Samuel Hilsinger, Jr., and Betty Ostertag.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, June 18th, 2008 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
