Dorothy M. Scott

DOROTHY M. SCOTT, 87, of Ithaca, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Hospicare Residence in Ithaca after a long illness. She was born in Buffalo, NY to Henry and Emma Olskey Jaeger. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Milton L. Scott, two infant sons, her brother Robert Jaeger and great-grandson Eddie Rubino. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nonie and Jim Saroka, Greene, NY, daughter June Kopald, Hickory, NC, seven grandchildren, Jamie and Barbara Saroka, Greg Saroka and Lynn Orlando, Kevin and Kristen Saroka, Kerstin and Dean Driscoll, Mark and Ann Saroka, Jennifer and Jay Rubino, Jessica and Scott Crawford, and fifteen great-grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Bob Mols, brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Judy Jaeger, sister-in-law, Clara Bergstrom, special friend Alice Trowbridge, many nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren. Dorothy took great pride in her various homes and gardens. She was an excellent bridge player, but most important to her was her family. In later years it was her main focus and she enjoyed ticking off the names of her ‘greats’, Rachel, Ami, David, Tyler, Josh, Ashley, Shelby, Zack, Alex, Kelly, Patrick, Danny, Anna, David and Sophie. She is greatly missed by all. Interment will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca, NY, followed by a memorial service at Perkins Funeral Home, Main Street, Dryden, NY on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 11 AM.
