Duane R. Thornton

Duane R. Thornton, age 59, of North Road, Dryden, NY passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
Born November 20, 1956 in Cortland, NY he was the son of the late Russell and Adeline Stinehour Thornton. He had been a self employed landscaper.
Duane is survived by his son, Duane R. (Kim) Thornton, Jr. of Montclair, NJ; daughter, Connie Coville of Utica, NY; son, Michael Thornton of McGraw, NY; five grandchildren, Payton Thornton, Linkin Thornton and Mikayla Thornton, Gabryeal Richardson and Leon Weeks; siblings, Donald (Marie) Thornton of Daytona Beach, FL, Cheryl (Robert) Kenyon of McGraw, NY; Debra Thornton of Solon, NY, David (Dawn) Thornton of Ithaca, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition he was predeceased by his brother, Carl Thornton.
Friends may call from 10 - 11 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am, with Rev. John Iler officiating, at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Burial will follow at McLean Rural Cemetery, McLean, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dryden Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 397, Dryden, NY 13053.
