E. PAULINE ALLEN EARLS,
age 86, of 1250 Gallagher Road, Cortland, NY died Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Earls was born August 1, 1918 at Cortland, the daughter of the late Miles E. and Bessie Stevens Allen. She was a life area resident and had been employed at Cortland Line Co. and retired from Wilson Sporting Goods where she was a Past Union President. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard D. Earls who died December 11, 2000 and by her former husband, Earl P. Kurtz who died April 4, 1980.
Survivors include her brother, James W. Allen of Sarasota, FL; her nephews, Daniel K. Allen, Jr. of Clifton Park, NY and Daniel K. Allen, III of Petaluma, CA; her step-sons, Gary E. Earls of Cortland and Clifford D. Earls of Chicago; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Daniel K. Allen, Sr. and Miles E. Allen, Jr., her step-mother, Marie Allen Burt.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial will be private at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
