EDITH D. HAYES,
age 56 of Mecklenburg Road, Trumansburg died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 29, 1954 in Fulton, she was a daughter of the late Harold F. Hayes and Blanche Hammond Hayes Manning. She was retired from Borg Warner in Ithaca with 22 years service and enjoyed Bingo, Lottery and her family.
Edith is survived by her step-mother, Beatrice I. Hayes of Cortland, her fiancé, Charles “Rusty” Crandall of Mecklenburg, he children, Casey (Biff) Spence of Freeville, Sonnett (Alex Stinson) Brown of Ithaca, Eric (Missy) Brown of VanEtten, Mark Beatty of Ithaca; grandchildren, Corey, Samantha, Taylor and Jayde, Eric, Jr., Christian, Forrest, Alex, Jr., Preston and Nevaeh, Rhiannon and Brittany; siblings, Robert F. Hayes of Lugoff, S.C., Wayne Hayes of Ithaca, Charlene Hayes of Ithaca, Wanda (Gary) Grover of Newark Valley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins and a long time friend, Donald Zimmer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Bruce and Frank Hayes.
