Edna L. Robertson

EDNA L. ROBERTSON, age 96, of 331 Strawberry Hill Circle, Ithaca, NY entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, June 2, 2006 at the Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. Mrs. Robertson was born April 18, 1910 at Morocco, Indiana a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Minnie M. Robinson Sanderson. Having been graduated in 1928, Edna was the oldest living graduate of Dryden High School. She also was graduated from Cortland Normal School and taught in the one

room school at the Eight Square School on Hanshaw Road and later at East Lawn School in Ithaca. Her husband, Archie Robertson, passed away in Nov. 11, 1983. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist

Church since 1932 and had been active in many facets of the church. A wonderful mother and dedicated servant to her Lord, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her sons, Paul O. Robertson of Zephyrhills, FL, Donald A. Robertson of Old Lyme, CT and her daughter, Minnie J. (Sam) Empson of Groton; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bessie S. Robertson, her siblings, Gene Smith, Mildred Crispell and Roy Sanderson.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1 PM Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Ithaca, NY. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Memorials are graciously directed to Hospicare, 172 East King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850. Arrangements are entrusted to the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
