We regretfully announce the sudden passing of Edward Gordon Bell of Dryden, NY on December 16, 2022. Ed was born
on April 8, 1939 in Dryden, NY.

The son of the late Howard and Katherine Bell, Ed was employed by the Village of Dryden for 35 years, serving as
Superintendent of Public Works during his time. The former owner-operator of Bell’s Auto Sales in Dryden, He loved
attending municipal and car auctions, anything to do with motors, and working tirelessly to make them work. He had a
passion to buy, fix, and sell cars. Ed was an avid hobbyist, loved his times with friends at the Dryden Barber Shop, and
wouldn’t miss an opportunity to join his buddies at the daily coffee club.
Ed was a 64-year proud member and past Chief of the Neptune Hose Company. He was a member of the Senior Citizen’s
Group. He loved his cats and will be especially missed by his favorite, Tess.
A man of few words, but you never had to wonder what was on his mind. Dryden was his life and his dedication to the
community shows how much he truly loved his town.

Ed married his sweetheart, Nancy, and they built a beautiful life together, full with love and dedication to family and
community. They were doting grandparents who played active roles in their grandchildren's lives. That dedication lives on
in the many memories and times shared with family.

In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his brother, Richard Bell, sister, Janice (Bud) McFall, and great-
grandson Greyson Bell.

Ed’s legacy will be cherished in the lives of his family who he leaves behind, including his wife of 62 years, Nancy Bell,
Daughter Brenda Halton, Sons Mark (Dana) Bell and Gary (Kimberly) Bell; Grandchildren Danielle (Jerry) McMillin, Alyssa
(Spenser) Maunu, Sam (Hilary Niver-Johnson) Halton, Madisyn Bell-Burke (Richie), Melaina Bell, Matthew (Cierra) Bell,
Dylan (Katlyn Whyte) Bell and Great grandchildren; Calliope Maunu and Addison Bell; brother and sisters in laws, and
numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 23, 2022 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55
West Main Street, in Dryden. The family will hold a private service and burial at the Willow Glen Cemetery with a
celebration of Ed’s life immediately following at the Dryden Fire Hall at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed’s name to the Neptune Hose Company / Dryden Ambulance, the National
Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
