Edward Boynton Jr.

EDWARD (Gee Gee) BOYNTON, JR., age 63, of Newfield, NY, passed away on Sunday March 27,2005 at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, surrounded by his children. He was born in Buffalo, NY on February 21, 1942 a son of the late Edward and Doris Boynton Whiting. Ed was predeceased by his wife Norma Brown Boynton. Ed also looked forward to the summer weekends going to the local car racetracks to watch his son, Gary, and his brother, Bobby, race. He also was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his friend and special companion Rosemary Labar; his brothers Calvin "Butch" & Patricia Boynton, Ronald Boynton and Robert (Linda) Boynton, Jeff and Mike Boynton; his sisters Doris "Sissy" and Clayton "Mike" Goodband, Darlene "Dolly" Boynton & her friend Terry, and Diane (Bruce) Corder; his sons Edward (Gail) Stage and their children, Tim, Stephen & Heather. Gary & Dody Stage and their children, Stacy Stage, Jason (Stephanie) Stage, and his great-granddaughter Katie Stage. His daughters, Wendy & Richard Seeley, and their son Richard, Jr. "Itch", and Lori & Abe Maldonado and their children, Sandy, Shawnna, and Vinnie "Ponch". Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial , in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden will be delayed. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to the Maldonado Children’s Trust, in care of the Tompkins Trust Company, The Commons, Ithaca, NY 14850.
