ITHACA - Edward Allen Currie,
age 66, of Conifer Dr., Ithaca, NY passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 2, 2009.
Born February 14, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the only child of Edward and Ruth Earwaker Currie. On June 28, 1980 he was married to Eloise Tilton Cobane at Levittown, PA. He had been employed with Dunkin Donuts and McDonald’s in Bloomsburg, PA.
Edward is survived by his wife, Eloise Tilton Currie of Ithaca, NY; son, Edward P. Currie of Ambler, PA; daughter, Bridget Marilyn Sheemeley of Hainesport, NJ; granddaughter, Lisa Sheemeley and grandson, Timothy Sheemeley; step-daughter, Donna Marie Gilbert of Brooktondale, NY and Step-son, Robert Glen Cobane of Van Etten, NY; step-grandchildren, Nichole Gilbert, Megan Gilbert and David Gilbert, Dakota Cobane, Zachary Cobane and Brandon Cobane; and many friends.
At his request, there are no services planned. Burial will take place in Ambler, PA at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one’s choice. Perkins Funeral Home of Dryden is assisting the family.
