EDWARD J. DiGIACOMO, age 73, formerly of Freeville, and Slaterville, NY passed away Friday, Aug. 14 at Northwoods of Moravia after an extended illness. “Butch” was born March 6, 1942 in Ithaca a son of the late Edward M. and Mary Kozel DiGiacomo and attended Dryden Schools. He was employed for many years at Tweitman’s Half Way House in Freeville and later at The Statler Hotel, Cornell Univ. He enjoyed motorcycles, shooting trap and skeet and spending time with his buddies.
Survivors include a son, Michael DiGiacomo; his sisters, Vickie Burnside of Bedford, TX, Jan L. Glass of Comanche, TX and Angela D. Gray of Aurora, NY; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
