EDWARD LEE FARNHAM,
age 47, of Etna, NY passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY after a brief illness. Ed was born Dec. 2, 1961 in Ithaca, NY a son of the late George and Ada Gumaer Farnham. Ed was raised in Lakeland, FL and returned to Tompkins County. He was employed at Emerson Power Transmission for 23 years and was a member of the Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union. Ed enjoyed stock car racing and loved cats.
Survivors include his children, Heather and Evan Farnham of Spencer; his siblings, Merle Farnham of Palmetto, FL, Jean Hillis of Richmond Hill, GA, Florence (Robert) Young of Bradenton, FL, James (Cynda) Franham of Dryden and Evelyn (Robert) Earl of Harford; his former wife, Brynda Basil Beeman; an uncle, Howard Gumaer in California; nieces; nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Farnham.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Jordan officiating. Burial will be private Sylvan Hills Cemetery, Greene, NY.
