Elbert Jay Francis

ELBERT JAY FRANCIS, age 74, of Salt Road, Moravia, NY passed away, Monday, May 14, 2018 at home. Mr. Francis was born November 15, 1943 in Cortland, NY a son of the late Charles and Castella Williams Francis.

A 1961 graduate of Moravia High School, Elbert earned his Associates Degree at SUNY Delhi in 1963. He was a self employed farmer all his life who as a young man enjoyed bowling, basketball and softball. Elbert was the current owner of the farm that had been in his family for over 100 years.

Survivors include his sister, Eileen (Richard) Parker of Locke and his brother, Ronald (Mary Ryan) Francis of Dryden; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Dwain Francis.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, May 19th at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mclean Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
