Eleanor Elizabeth Larocque

Eleanor Elizabeth LaRocque, age 97, of Fall Creek, Ithaca, NY passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016.
Born June 26, 1919 in Lansing, NY she was the daughter of the late George J. and Elizabeth Cerena Brown Parkin and widow of the late Oscar LaRocque, Jr. who died in 1971. She was a member of St. Paul's UMC since she was 9 years old and was a long time volunteer on the Fall Creek School Site Base Council and a very active volunteer at Fall Creek School in many capacities. She was a Tompkins County Election Inspector and a Co-Girl Scout Troop Leader.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Lindy Gustafson and Elaine E. LaRocque, both of Ithaca, NY; five grandchildren, Sheila Gustafson, Elizabeth Barajas, Marjorie Hopkins, William Shelton and Kimberly Woods; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Shelton in 1994. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Melissa Gould, Clare Grady, and Ellen Grady and the staff and volunteers at Hospicare.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Eunice Tabor officiating. Private burial be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ithaca, NY. Friends may call from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul's UMC Loving Care Ministries, 402 N. Aurora St., Ithaca, NY; The History Center, 401 E.
