ELEANOR McCASKILL
, age 87, of 4 Selma Ave., Homer and formerly of 42 Church Street, Cortland, NY died Friday, January 7, 2005 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital. Mrs. McCaskill was born July 10, 1917 at Homer, a daughter of the late Albert and Anna Chapman Hitchman. She has been a resident of the Cortland area for the last 69 years and was married on April 25, 1936 to E D McCaskill who passed away Nov. 9, 1989. They operated Flo-EL’s Ceramic Shop on Owego Street for many years prior to retirement in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Gerald (Barbara ) Hitchman of Osteen, FL; a son-in-law, William Costa of Little York; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith Costa.
Private services are under the direction of the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Burial will be in McGraw Rural Cemetery.
