Elizabeth (Horvath) Rounds

Elizabeth Rounds, 92 of Towanda, PA passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Robert Packer Hospital Personal Care Home in Towanda.

Born June 24, 1931 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Vary Horvath and wife of the late Gerald Rounds who died in 1992.

Betty was a graduate of Ithaca High School and went into banking; starting as a teller and working her way up to manager by the time she retired from Tioga State Bank. She was a past member of the NYS Grange. She was an avid outdoor person who would rather be tending her flower gardens than cooking or baking. Betty and Gerry spent summer weekends camping at Lake Bonin in Pennsylvania.

Betty is survived by her brother, Frank Horvath of Forest, VA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. In addition, she is predeceased by siblings, William Horvath, Mary A. Barned, Anna Hodge and Michael Jay Vary.

Per her request, there will be no services. Private burial will take place at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guthrie Hospice of Towanda, PA.
