ELLA M. KOISTINEN
, age 98, of Lower Creek Road, Etna, NY passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca. Mrs. Koistinen was born April 28, 1912 at home in Etna a daughter of the late Mabel and Earl Rhodes. A life resident of Etna, she was married On August 17, 1946 to Karlo Koistinen at Etna; he passed away September 27, 2002. Ella was employed with Montgomery Ward for many years and also part time at the Etna Post Office. She was a member of Dryden Senior Citizens, the Etna Baptist Church and was involved in many Etna activities.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sharon and Albert Linderberry of Etna; two grandsons, Abram (Karyn)Linderberry of Newfield and Jacob (fiancee’, Allison Marley) Linderberry of Rochester. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Merrill.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday (today), November 22, 2010 in Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden with Rev. Ronald Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Etna Baptist Church, P.O.
