Ellen M. Jackson, age 77 of Freeville, NY passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
Born June 26, 1944 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Holden Whittier. On May 9, 1964 she married Robert Jackson. Ellen spent many years with her loving husband exploring the country looking for adventures. She was a proud homemaker devoted to her family, with a love of gardening, dancing, flowers, and searching for treasures at yard sales, game nights with grandchildren and her growing family.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Robert; Ellen is survived by her children, Gary (Lisa) Jackson, Daniel (Nina) Jackson, Mary Ellen (Randy) Brokaw and Michael Jackson (Shari); grandchildren, Danielle (Chris) Tinker, Robert (Amanda) Jackson, James Jackson, Kyle (Holly) Jackson, Matthew (Samantha) Jackson, Luke Jackson, Nicole (Byron) Worthing, Bethany (TJ) Frost, Donovan (Mackenzie) Jackson and Coty (Alyssa) Jackson; great grandchildren, Hailey, Harper, Julianna, Aubrey, Calla, Blake, Lily and a baby girl on the way; her sister, Hazel (Jeff) Puhalka, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her stepmother, Laverna Whittier and brothers, Michael and Stephen Whittier.
