Elly (Havenaar) Burk

Elly Burk, 74 of Cortland passed away Tuesday May 25, 2021 at her home with family by her side. Born January 6, 1947 in Rijswijk, Holland she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Gysje Ahrens Havenaar. Elly was predeceased by her husband Charles Burk. Elly's passions were designing silk floral arrangements and taking care of her kittens. Elly is survived by her son, Michael Rogers; sister, Carla (Butch) Quaile; her best friend Giovanna Polinsky, and companion Thomas Rogers; granddaughters, Chelsea Clark and Celeste Rogers; four nephews and former daughter in law and caregiver, Michelle Brickey. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. At Elly’s request there will be no services, in lieu of flowers please donate to the SPCA in her memory.
