Emily B. Todd

EMILY B. TODD, age 87, of Court Street, Syracuse, NY and formerly of Etna, NY passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY after an extended illness. Emily was born March 23, 1923 in Ithaca, NY a daughter of the late James and Hannah Watkins Baylor. A long time resident of Etna and employed at Cornell University retiring in 1988, she was married to Clifford J. Todd who died August 2, 1985. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Dryden Grange and a member of the Salina Senior Citizens, the Friends of the Mattydale Library and the United Methodist Church of Freeville. She had resided with her daughter and grandsons since 2003.

Survivors include her children, Stephen M. (Joanne) Todd of Etna and Colleen Baldwin of Syracuse; grandchildren, Michele (Kevin) Cowen, Holley (Michael) Padula, Robert Wilkins, William Baldwin, Patrick Todd and Sierra Todd; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler and Jacob Cowen and Katherine Padula; a brother-in-law, George Potter, sisters-in-law, Doris and Nancy Baylor. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her siblings, Evelyn Baylor, James Baylor, Jr., Mary Potter and Lawrence Baylor.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Austin officiating. Burial will follow in West Danby Cemetery.
