EUNICE A. McFALL,
age 86, of 901 Mitchell Street, Ithaca, NY passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Eunice was born Nov. 18, 1923 at Canastota, NY a daughter of the late Dwight and Vena Wilson Lindley. Eunice was married to Ernest “Bud” McFall on May 25, 1950. As a young couple they relocated to Ithaca and were owners of Bud’s Red & White on Mitchell Street for many years, retiring in 1980. Later she became an excellent seamstress and operated Eunie’s Uniques. She was an avid bowler, roller skater and loved playing cards and board games. Eunice was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son, William (Dianne) McFall of Dryden; her daughter, Nancy (Harold “Denny”) Dailey of Groton; her sisters, Shirley (Stanley) English of Elbridge and Arlene (Merton “Els”) Pullen of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren, Teri (John) Apalovich, Melinda Dailey and Danielle (Brandon) Sherwood; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Apalovich; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings and her husband, Ernest “Bud” who died April 7, 1991.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden.
