Evelyn Maybee

DRYDEN - Evelyn A. Maybee, age 84, of Route 38, Dryden, NY passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Groton Nursing Facility.
Born July 12, 1931 in Harford, NY she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Irene Pudney Austin. She graduated valedictorian of her class at Dryden High School in 1949. On November 20, 1953 she married George A. Maybee at Dryden, NY who survives. She was a secretary at Cornell University in the School of Labor Relations for 30 years and a member of the Dryden United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, George A. Maybee, Evelyn is survived by her sons, Clayton (Ann) Maybee of Freeville, NY and Stephen (Loretta Heimbuch) Maybee of Trumansburg, NY; 6 grandchildren, Charlie Heimbuch Skaley, Tiffany Heimbuch Maybee,
Craig Maybee (Candice Maybee), Cory Maybee, Cassandra Gaines (Collin Gaines) great grand children, Andrew Maybee, and
Alexander Maybee; cousins, Rev. James Mott of Binghamton, NY and Richard McKee of CT. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her sister, Frances Austin; her aunts, Helen McKee and Essie Mott.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Harold Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. Friends may call from 1 - 2 PM prior to the service.
