Faith Carrie (Porter) Smith

Faith Carrie Smith, age 54 of Freeville, NY passed away late Sunday evening December 26th. Faith was born in Cortland, NY June 4, 1967. She was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Patty Ann Porter. Faith was a kind soul. She was much like both of her parents in the way she cared about others and tried to help whenever she could.

Faith had a great love for four things beginning with her love for the Lord. Faith spent countless hours teaching children about Jesus and how to live a Godly life. Her second love was her family. Faith loved her husband and children dearly as well as the rest of her family. The third was her love for Cortland Bible Camp. Faith spent many years at the camp. First going as a camper, then working as a counselor and finally serving as nurse for about 18 years. She is blessed to be remembered as Aunt Faith by so many. Lastly Faith had a love for people and tried to help and encourage them along their way.

Faith is survived by her husband Andy Smith and her children Caleb, AbiGail and Alicia (Matt) Henderson, Her sister Gail Porter and nephews Ian and Joshua Petrie of Bassett VA. In addition to her parents, Faith is predeceased by her cousin Carolyn Howden

Services will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cortland Bible Camp 154 Hydeville Rd. Pitcher, NY 13136.
