Florence Jenney Barber

Florence Jenney Leach Barber, age 90, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away March 23, 2016 at Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Florence was born March 13, 1926 in Manlius, NY a daughter of the late Arthur and Janette Sawyer Leach. On May 8, 1943 she married Lawrence Percy Barber. He died April 27, 2007. She worked in the health care profession for many years.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Judy Vickery (George Rogers) and Shirley Carpenter (Joe Barr); her son, Lawrence "Buzz" Barber (Nancy LeFever); 7 grandchildren, Steve (Margaret), Karen (Chris), Fred, Chrissy, Heather (John), Duston and Holly (Jim); 20 great grandchildren, Cassey, Matthew, Nathan (Tara), Alyssa, Kristen, Amanda, Morgan, Andrew, Jade, Cody (Kelsey), Austin, Aiden, Devin, Rachel, Madelynn, Jared, Brianna, Tajh, Amari and Mackenna; 4 great great grandchildren, Brielle, Mason, Trenton and Kaydence. In addition she was predeceased by her sister, Mildred and brother, Earl.
A private graveside service for family will be held at Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society of CNY, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057 or Cortland Co. SPCA, 879 McLean Rd., Cortland, NY 13045.
