FLORENCE STUPKE CONGER,
age 84, formerly of Freeville and Dryden, NY died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Florence was born in Cortlandville, NY on Nov. 10, 1922 a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wongrey Stupke. She and her late husband, William Conger, owned and operated Conger’s Trailer Parks for many years prior to Mr. Conger’s death. She loved gardening and was a member of the former Cortland County Garden Club. She also loved animals, dancing and family activities. Florence was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and also was a member of the Partriot’s singing group.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Conger of Stuart, FL; Billie (Daniel
Schmohe) Conger of Freeville and Marlene (David Stein) Conger of Liberty, SC; grandchildren, Christina Beck, Brittany Beck-Wickham, Aaron Stein, Randi Schmohe, Marty Conger, Jodi, Jami and Ryan Schmohe; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Annika Wickham. She was predeceased by her ten siblings and a grandson, Benjamin Stein.
Memorial services will be at 11 Am Monday, Nov. 20, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Friends are encouraged to share memories and speak at the memorial service. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. There are no prior calling hours.
