Florence Mary (Townsend) Davis

Florence Mary Davis, 97 of Willow Brook Manor, Dryden, NY passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Born October 4, 1925 in Groton, NY she was the daughter of the late Lynn and Louie Sincebaugh Townsend and wife of the late Joshua Davis Jr. who died in 1995. She had been employed with Smith Corona and Cornell University and enjoyed camping. For many years, she lived in Dryden summers and Zephyrhills, Florida winters.

Florence is survived by nephews, William L. Townsend (Linda) of Brewerton NY, Brian J. Townsend of Fulton NY; nieces Sheila Townsend Driansky (Michael) of North Salem NY, Eileen Townsend Conley of Fulton NY and many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joshua Davis; her brother, William J. Townsend and nephew, Lynn M. Townsend.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden, NY with Rev. Matthew Binkewicz officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
