FRANCES LAWRENCE,
age 90, formerly of McLean died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Cortland Memorial Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lawrence was born March 30, 1914 at Washington Township, PA a daughter of the late James and Mary Brenner Huff. She was married to F. Ray Lawrence on June 9, 1934. Mr. Lawrence passed away July 24, 1992. Frances was employed years ago at Cary Co. in Dryden, J. Line Toggs in Homer and later at Smith Corona in Groton. She was a long time member of the McLean Community Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty A. Lawrence of McLean; her son John E. (Charyl) Lawrence of Freeville; a half-brother, John (Florence) Reid of Ahoski, NC, grandchildren, John (Kandi) Lawrence, Jody (Pat Brennan) Lawrence, Judy (Marlon) Berrios, Harold (Pam) Overbaugh and Crystal (Shawn) Clark; ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-mother, Elizabeth Huff, a sister, Mary Huff McCleaf; half brothers, George Huff and Harold Reid and a half sister, Geraldine Nass
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 4, 2005 at the McLean Community Church with Rev. Leslie A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in McLean Rural Cemetery at a later date. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM tonight at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
