FRANK J. COOPER,
age 60, of 528 Pleasant Valley Road, Groton, NY passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 at his residence. Frank was born December 19, 1947 in Ithaca and has been a life area resident. He served in the US Navy and was employed at Cornell University in the Care of Buildings Dept. and formerly was employed at Smith Corona and Ithaca Gun Company. On Aug. 20, 1983 he was married to the former Dora Marie Leonard who survives. He was a collector of many things and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors, but most of he loved and enjoyed his family and took great pleasure in harassing them.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Dora Cooper at home, his daughters, Michelle (Bill) Mayo of Shawnee, OK, Tenna (Denis) Bixler of New River, AZ, Lisa (Ray) Brehm of Groton and Stacy (Randy) Brown of Wesley Chapel, FL; his son, Doug (Amy) Breese of Groton; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; an aunt; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Frank’s family will be present to receive their friends and family members from 5 to 7 PM tonight (Thursday) at the Groton Assembly of God Church, 701 South Main Street, Groton, NY. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
