FREDERICK JAMES YOUNGS,
age 82, formerly of Divers Crossing Road, Marathon and Champlain Road, McLean died Friday, August 18, 2006 at the Northwoods Rehabilitation and Extended Care Facility in Cortland, NY. Mr. Youngs was born March 10, 1924 in Cortland a son of the late Harry and Julia Seamans Youngs. Fred was raised in Homer, NY and served in the US Army during WW II. He retired from Champion Sheet Metal and also had been employed by Brewer Titchner and the Green Thumb. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was predeceased by his wives, Cleo Flores Youngs and Grace Witzel Youngs. He was a member of the Cortland VFW, the Cortland DAV and the Cortland American Legion.
Survivors include his children, Frederick J. (Holly) Youngs, Jr. of Ithaca, Lilli (Peter) Krauklis of McGraw and Norman (Vickie) Youngs of Unicoi, TN; step-daughter, Kathy Howard-Dennison; his siblings, Harry, Herbert and Richard Youngs and Joyce Sharpsteen; six grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in McLean Rural Cemetery where military honors will be provided by members of the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team.
