George graduated in 1977 from Dryden High School and went in the U.S. Army shortly after as a paratrooper/ chute packer after the service, marriage, and a family of his own he made a living truck driving for local companies as well as using his mechanic skills. He took great pride in his family and would always be willing to lend a hand if anyone should need it. Over the years as kids, and grandkids grew, many of their friends were naturally adopted as family and grew to love him as a grandfather. He would always open his door to many who needed a place to feel comfort, welcome, and love. George had a one of a kind type of personality, and many would say that he always have them laughing. He never failed to nick-name any and everyone he was always joking around with people to lighten the day with laughter.
As a Dad he always had a lesson to teach and a method to get it done effectively. He did his best to mold us kids into self-sufficient, strong, honest, family oriented people. He taught us that the value of a dollar was nothing compared to the value of family. He is going to be greatly missed and forever remembered.
George has been suffering through a very tough year in 2016 which was the worst year of the last 5 years of rough ones. This past year left him tired, confused, sad, and worn out completely. As he left this world of pain behind, he is walking side by side with the loved ones departed before him and is no longer in pain or sadness. His soul in now free so he may fly high as an eagle, as strong as the wind, and free of mind to look over all of his loved ones.
