Geradine M. Frederick

GERALDINE MARY FREDERICK, age 91, of 5 Bald Hill Road, Danby, NY passed away July 11, 2010 at her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Frederick was born January 14, 1919 in Allegheny, NY, a daughter of the late Edward and Louise Hausknecht Winnickey. She was married to William B. Frederick in 1943. Mr. Frederick died in March 20, 2005. For a few years she was employed at the Danby School cafeteria. During World War II she was employed in Buffalo, NY by Bell Aircraft.

She was a Camp Fire Troop Leader when her daughters were young. Geraldine was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Ithaca and participated in many church activities. She was a loving and giving person who will be missed by many.Survivors include her daughters, Shelia (Alan) Casciotti of Newfield and Nena (Forrest) Stinson of Danby; a sister, Marion Sosna of Chicago, IL; a brother, Carl Winnickey of Allegheny; four grandchildren, William (Phadra) Frederick, Samantha (Arthur) Swansbrough, Brent (Joy) Casciotti and Alex (Sonnett) Stinson; eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandddaughter; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 14, at 10 AM in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden with Rev. Rick Bair officiating. There are no calling hours. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
