GERALDINE L. SAUTER,
age 82, passed on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Gerry was born March 4, 1923 at Carthage, NY a daughter of the late Alfred and Bernice Brown Willmert. She has resided in Dryden since 1973 and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Dryden Township Post #8158, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Dryden Chapter #250, Order of the Eastern Star. Years ago she was employed in the Dining Service of Ithaca College. She had previously resided in Heuvelton, NY.
Survivors include her daughters, Ella (Calvin) Keech of Etna, Blanche (David) Jackson of Harrington, DE and Nora Diemond in Florida.; her grandchildren, Michael Mayhew, Darol Mayhew, Paul Hyde, Adrian and Kristen Jackson, Debbie Weinkauf, and Steve McDermott; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Bintz of Carthage and Ruth Ellis of Theresa, NY. Her twin brother, Gerald Willmert, and nine other siblings have passed on as well as a step-son, Gerald Sauter.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Those who wish may make a donation in Gerry’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
