GLADYS L. COLE,
age 91, formerly of Groton, NY died September 25, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born Aug. 18, 1913 in Dryden and was the daughter of the late Edward Griffin and May West Griffin Colwell. Her husband, Raymond W. Cole, a well known plumber in the Dryden and Groton area, died April 20, 1996. Mrs. Cole was employed as a secretary for many years at Highway Materials in Lansing, NY. After retirement the Cole’s relocated to Arizona to enjoy their retirement and be near their daughter.
Survivors include her son, Nathan Edward (Marilyn) Cole of Groton, NY; daughters, Carole (Paul) Vernier and Gail Cortese both of Arizona; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grand and two great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Committal services will be at 11 AM Saturday, June 25, 2005 in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Rev. David C. Robinson will officiate. Memorials are directed to the Carrington-Fuller American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #800 or The First Presbyterian Church of Dryden, Box 42, Dryden, NY 13053-0042. Arrangements are entrusted to the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
