Grant L. (Shorty or Bud) Hamilton
passed away June 1st 2008 at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca NY. Born on December 13,1930 in Berkshire NY, Bud was preceded in death by his mother, Lottie M Hamilton and brothers, William L Curkendall and Richard A Curkendall and sisters-in-laws, Purla (Jean) Curkendall and Jean Haynes Curkendall. Bud is survived by long-time friend Jeff Cox of Brooktondale, NY; and brothers, Charles and Annabelle Curkendall of Elmira Heights, Merle (Pete) Curkendall of Horseheads, and sister, Marlene and Pete Velletri of San Antonio, Texas, Sister-in-law Carol Curkendall of Elmira, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bud served in the US Army and the US Air Force. He was retired from The Cornell University buildings and grounds dept.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 In Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire, NY with members of the Dryden Veteran’s Memorial Home Ritual Team officiating and providing military honors.
