H. Francis Call

H. Francis Call, age 78, of Bardmour Terrace, Cortland, NY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Francis was born in West Groton, NY a son of the late Harlie and Charlotte Robertson Call and was a life area resident. He was employed for 32 years at Smith Corona retiring in 1986. He later worked at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum at Cornell University. His wife, Marion Decker Call, passed away March 25, 1990. Francis was a long time member of Christian Assembly of God Church and had been Sunday School Superintendent, Church Treasurer and worked on church missions.

Survivors include his sisters, Grace Greenfield of Syracuse and Genevieve Hall of Duncansville, PA; his adopted son, Mikhail (Neonila) Marchuk and family, Victoria, Veniamin, Jana and Anna all of Cortland, NY; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Howard and Alma Decker of Hillcrest, NY; Willard and Henrietta Decker of Cortland; Betty and Leon Mills of Whitney Point; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday, May, 8, 2004 at Christian Assembly of God Church, 175 Port Watson St., Cortland, NY with Rev. Mark Lata officiating. Burial will follow in Cortland Rural Cemetery, Cortland, NY. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Friday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Those wishing to remember Francis are asked to consider memorial gifts to the Christian Assembly of God Church Building Fund, 175 Port Watson St., Cortland, NY.
