H. Russell Prince

H. RUSSELL PRINCE, age 74, of 1890 Dryden Road, Freeville, NY died Friday, October 14, 2005 at his residence after a long illness. "Russ" was born in Dryden on April 1, 1931 a son of the late Henry and Alice Stevens Prince. His wife, June Goodwin Olds Prince, died in 1986. Russ was a life time resident of Dryden and was a retired Dairy Farmer. Russ enjoyed his family and was very proud of his grandchildren. He was a likeable man and had a special gift of being able to raise and handle animals that came to the farm. He often he had deer that became

"farm pets" and lived in his dairy barn.

Survivors include his three daughters, Susan (Michael) Prince Fitzgibbons of Dryden, Cheryl (Michael) Prince Brotherton of Freeville and Judith Prince of Freeville; grandsons, Justin and Tyler Russell and a great-grandson, Nathan Russell; a close family friend, Florence Davis.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Austin of the Freeville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
