HAROLD B. EGGLESTON,
age 77, of Freeville, passed away Wednesday, December 16 at the Hospicare Residence in Ithaca. Harold was born April 5, 1932 in Cortland, NY a son of the late Merritt and Edna Swackhammer Eggleston. He was employed for many years as a carpenter foreman in the home construction industry. Harold had been a resident of Georgia and Texas prior to returning to Freeville in April of 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Drake Eggleston of Ithaca; his children, Linda (Cliff) Fenner of Mclean, Laurie Newbury of Spencer, Mark (Sarah) Eggleston of Chelsea, KY, Debbie (David) Cook of Ithaca and Joey Egglleston; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his siblings, Beatrice Gleason, Merritt Eggleston, Jr., Roger Eggleston, Helen Hatch, Richard Eggleston, Marvin Eggleston and Susan Inman.
At Mr. Eggleston’s request, no services will be held. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
