Harold Turk

HAROLD TURK, age 73, of 42 Mill Street, Dryden, NY died Sunday, October 8, 2008 at Cortland, NY. Harold was born October 17, 1932 at Dryden a son of the late Dewey and Laura Carpenter Turk. He was graduated from Dryden High School in 1951 and was employed there in the Building and Grounds Dept. until his retirement in 1997. Previously Harold had worked at Cornell University and Victory Market’s Grocery in Dryden. He was a member of the Dryden Senior Citizens and the Dryden Township Historical Society. Harold was an avid gardener and all around handy-man. He enjoyed raising flower plants for his garden and home.

Survivors include his brothers, Gerald (Charlotte) Turk of Homer and Donald Turk of Townville, SC; his sister, Carol Rogers of Brandon, FL; one aunt; nieces; nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Mayes.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David C. Robinson of The First Presbyterian Church of Dryden officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden from 12:30 to 2 PM Wednesday.
