Harriet Soyring

HARRIET SOYRING, age 78, of Whitney Point, NY and formerly of Ithaca went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 in Whitney Point. She had resided at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Tammi for many years. Harriet was born Nov. 3, 1927 at Ithaca a daughter of the late Harry and Ethel Cornell Elston. She was employed for many years in a variety of restaurants as a waitress. Her husband, Arthur Soyring, died April 20, 1977

Survivors include her sons, William (Tammi) of Whitney Point and David (Ruth) Soyring of Ithaca; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Elston of Floirida; sisters, Grace Cutter of Ithaca, Gladys Young of Ithaca, Ethel Holley in Alabama and Helen Prince of Ithaca; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Edna, Esther, Thelma, Mildred and Beatrice.

Memorial services will be at 1 PM Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial will be private in King Cemetery, Ithaca. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Monday from 12 to 1 PM prior to the service.
