Hazel Fields

HAZEL FIELDS , age 90 of Main Street Ext., Freeville, NY died Friday, June 3, 2005 at The Reconstruction Home, Ithaca, NY. Mrs. Fields was a daughter of the late Ellis and Mabel Reed and was born on June 19th 1914 at Herman, NY. A long time resident of Freeville, her husband, Isreal "Spike" Fields passed away July 29, 1989. She was retired from Cornell University. She was a member of the Dryden Senior Citizens. Hazel enjoyed playing Bingo and going on senior citizen outings.

Survivors include her sons, Donald Fields of Newfield, Elwyn (Marlene) Fields of Potsdam, NY, Henry Fields of Syracuse and Richard (Sandra) Fields of Ithaca; her daughters, Ella Crockett of Waverly, Margaret Fields of Freeville and Helen Race of Ithaca; a brother, Alfis (Francine) Reed of Newfield and a sister, Viola Hewitt of Syracuse; twenty-one grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Hazel was predeceased by her children, Floyd Fields in 1982 and Roy Fields who died in 1996; her siblings, Frank and Robert Reed and Marion Stevenson.

Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Monday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Friends are asked to consider a memorial gift to a charity of their own choice.
