HEINZ C. “Charlie” LAMPARTER,
age 82, of 403 NYS Rt. 38, Harford, NY and formerly Danielsville, PA passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Heinz was born Jan. 25, 1929 in Sellersville, PA son of the late Johannes W. and Pauline Gross Lamparter. He was graduated from Sell-Perk High School and served in the US Navy Sea Bees from 1945 to 1948 in the Pacific Theater and from 1950 to 1951 in Korea. On Sept. 27, 1952 he was married to the former Mary Young in Quakertown, PA. “Charlie” worked in construction and later was with the Teamsters Union as a truck driver, being known as “Lampy”, for various companies. He also was the proprietor of Lamparter’s Lawn Ornaments in Bath, PA. Upon retiring he moved to Harford, NY and eventually became the Harford Postmaster serving from 1996 to 2005. He was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church.Survivors include his loving wife, Mary at home, his son William (Tanya) Lamparter of Bath, PA ; a daughter, Debra (William) Heckman of Bath, PA; a sister, Betty (Lane) Anderson of Harleysville, PA; a daughter-in-law, Paula Lamparter of Port Crane, NY; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Charlene Lamparter and a son, John Lamparter.Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Katy Prince officiating. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
