HELEN LOUISE DINGLER , age 66, of 105 Chamberlain Rd., Newark Valley, NY died Friday, June 17, 2005 at her residence. She was born July 20, 1938 at Dryden a daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Edsall Snyder. On April 17, 1982 she was married to Robert F. Dingler who survives. Helen was employed for many years at the American Agriculturist as a secretary. Previously she was employed at Ithaca Gun Co., National Cash Register and at the Old 76 Club. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Leonard T. Spaulding Unit#1134, American Legion and the Dryden Township Unit#8158, Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Dingler of Newark Valley; her son, Daniel L. Ross of Newark Valley; a sister, Phyllis (Larry) Carl of Owego; brothers, Harold (Ellie) Snyder of Seneca Falls, Donald ( Bancy) Snyder of Lansing and Alfred (Barbara) Snyder, Jr. of Interlaken her step-daughters, J. Diane (Neil) Sherwood of Danby, Gloria (James) Varga of King Ferry, Janice (Chet Brion) Knout of Freeville and Dixie (Jeremy Tyler) Mack of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins. Helen was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Austin of the Freeville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Speedsville Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 2 PM Wednesday prior to the funeral. Memorials are graciously directed to the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home, 2272 Dryden Road, Dryden, NY 13053.
