HELEN G. FRYE,
age 86, of 6 Homestead Ave., Cortland, NY and formerly of McLean passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Frye was born January 22, 1920 at Ithaca a daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Reeves Emerson. Helen was raised in Ithaca was married to Donald F. Frye who
passed away January 23. 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Frye were residents of 3 School St., McLean for many years and had previously resided in
Groton.
Survivors include her two sons, Donald R. Frye of Longview, WA and LeRoy B. Frye of Cortland; three grandchildren, Dell G. Gilbert of Cortland, Sherrie (Robert) Murphy of Alowa, OR and MaryAnn (Tony) Bates of Cortland; her siblings, Walter Emerson of Ithaca, Francis Emerson of Groton, Robert Emerson of Lake Placid, FL and Roger Emerson in Bishop, Texas; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 west Main St., Dryden, NY Rev. Leslie A. Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in McLean Rural Cemetery,
McLean, NY. Those wishing to remember Helen are asked to consider a
