HILDEGARDE PERINE, at the age of 77, of 56 Dart Drive, Ithaca, NY and formerly of Dryden, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at her home after a brief illness. Hildegarde was born in Germany a daughter of the late Henry and Antoinette Koskow Schuck. She immigrated to the US at the age of 3 and has been a long time area resident. Hildegarde had been employed in the banking industry prior to working at Dryden Mutual Insurance Company where she was a claims adjuster. She was a devoted mother, an avid cook and reader who loved gardening and vacationing in Cape Cod.Survivors include her companion, Harold Pittman or Ithaca; her children, Bruce (Debra) Perine of Marathon, Doug (Jennifer) Perine of Cortland, Carl (Stephanie) Perine of Ithaca, Peter (Noreen) Perine of Seneca Falls, NY and Catherine (John) Wiiki of Ithaca; her former husband, Ernest H. Perine of Cortland; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of her life will be held at 6 PM, Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Sivers officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
