ISADORE D. MAY
, 92 of Gee Hill Rd., Virgil, NY, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Cortland Memorial Hospital, Cortland, NY.
Born September 17, 1912 at Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Carolyn Ertyl Dryer and wife of the late William H. May II who died in 1976. She and her husband owned and operated May’s Frozen Foods for 45 years. Following the death of Mr. May, Isadore went to work for the Green Thumb Program in Cortland, NY. She was a member of Dryden Chapter #250 OES, NYS Grange Golden Sheath, Women’s Auxiliary of the Virgil Vol. Fire Dept., Kiwanis and the Virgil Methodist Church.
Mrs. May is survived by her only son, William H. May III of Virgil, NY and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 11, 2005 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Janet D. Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Virgil Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 3 - 5 pm Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Virgil Vol. Fire Dept., 1195 West State Rd., Cortland, NY 13045.
