James “Jay” Brink passed away on March 18, 2025, unexpectedly in his home. Despite life struggles, Jay had a heart that cared deeply for others and a passion for the things he loved the most.
Jay found joy in the simple things, particularly his fish tanks, which he cared for with pride. His happiest moments were spent lending a hand at races, hunting, spending time outdoors, working on his vehicles, and riding his ATV.
Family gatherings were especially meaningful to Jay, particularly those spent at Myers Park or on Cayuga Lake. His big heart made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His greatest gift was his unwavering willingness to help others, even when facing challenges of his own.
Jay is survived by his father, Mike Brink (Joan), his mother, Jennifer Carpenter, and two step siblings, Diedra (Shaun) Kirk and Shelly Mason. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him deeply.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
