James R. Brotherton

James R. “Jamie” Brotherton, was born October 13, 1962 in Cortland, NY to Kenneth and Susan Shepard Brotherton of Dryden, NY. He passed away February 5, 2018 in Syracuse, NY surrounded by loved ones.

Jamie graduated from Dryden High School and proudly served 4 years in the US Marine Corp. He was employed at Borg-Warner as an electrical technician for over 20 years. Jamie thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was known for throwing weekend BBQ’s and organizing outdoor activities for his grandchildren and games of horseshoes with friends.

Jamie is survived by his parents, Kenneth (Kathy) Brotherton and Susan (Fred) Knight; his life partner, Terri Meddaugh; their children, Nichole and Brian (Sarina) Brotherton; three grandchildren, Brandon, Lavon, Zania and a fourth on the way. He is also survived by siblings, Michael (Cheryl) Brotherton, Lynne (Tim) Sears, Robert (Zela) Brotherton, Robert (MaryAnn) Wood, Raleigh Wood, Karen Carr, Sandy (Scott) Rouleau, Joseph Knight and Edward (Jassmine) Knight; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his best friends, Dave and Chris Meddaugh and Jim Frost. He will be dearly missed by all.
