James E. Cornell, age 71, of Bailor Road, Brooktondale, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Born June 29, 1944 in Ithaca, NY he was the son of the late Robert J. and Doris LaLonde Cornell. Jim was a machinist and welder with Triangle Steel and a farmer. He had his own logging business and most recently was a butcher.
Jim is survived by his wife, Irene Rich Cornell at home; his children, James (Melissa Smith) Cornell, Jr., Kari (Robert, Jr.) Spencer, Jeffrey Cornell all of Brooktondale, and Jessica (Brian) Lundy of Ithaca; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Ellen) Cornell, Jr. of Brooktondale; several nieces and nephews.
At Jim’s request there are no formal services planned. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
