JAMES F. "JAMIE" CUTTING, age 14, of 1834 Dryden Road, Freeville, NY and formerly Locke, NY died Friday, May 28, 2004 as the result of an ATV accident in the Town of Dryden. Jamie was born Oct. 29 1989 in Ithaca and attended school in Moravia from kindergarten through sixth grade when he relocated to Freeville in 2002. He was an eighth grade student in the Dryden Middle School. Jamie was a well liked student, was eager to participate in all activities and was looking forward to the eight grade trip. He recently earned recognition for being on the Middle School Honor Roll and was Student of the Month. Jamie loved everyone and never had a bad day. Jamie was an avid collector of Hess Trucks and "Hot Wheels" Vehicles.

Survivors include his mother, Christine (Joel Cook) Cutting of Freeville; his sister, Breanna Lynn Cutting of Freeville; his grandparents, James G. and Dorothy Cutting of Freeville; an aunt, Kathryn (Reid Ketcher) Cutting of Fort Lewis, WA; a step-brother, Johnathon Cook; a great-grandfather, Harold Onan of Newfield, NY; a special cousin, George "Geored" Walker and many other aunts; uncles and cousins.

Jamie’s family will be present to receive their friends from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main st., Dryden, NY. A private funeral will be held Thursday with burial following in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends wishing to remember Jamie are asked to consider a memorial gift to the James F. Cutting Graduation Gift Fund, c/o The First National Bank of Dryden, P.O. Box 25, Dryden, NY 13053-0025..
